Computer Music - Central Unit & Circuit - David Rubato

I've been excited about the Aeroplane remix of David Robato's Circuit for some weeks now but then I found this Steve Moore remix on 20 Jazz Funk Greats blog and it's really beautiful (though not quite as dancey as the Aeroplane mix). At the same time I found this great blog which lists fantastic lesser known 80s dance mixes and discovered the Computer Music - Central Unit track and noted how similar it was to the Rubato.

Funky Green Tab blog for list (but no downloads) of great 80s stuff.

Zeigeist - Humanitarianism (The Twelves Remix) on Le Touch blog

The Zeigeist stuff on its own sounds a bit like a slightly shallower less inventive version of their fellow countrymen The Knife. But this remix is almost in the same league as the amazing Aeroplane stuff floating around. I still can't believe the Aeroplane remix of Rubato's Circuit is not blogged yet. Most djs have it (cause it's in a million mix sets on the net) and it's amazing. It's going to be in a disco podcast I did on the Durrr website as soon as they post it.

Vampire Weekend covers Everywhere (Fleetwood Mac) on Pretty Much Amazing blog

I'm sorry I just pretty much like everything these guys do. It just has the sound of musicians who know what they're doing. This is maybe not quite dancefloor friendly, but lovely version.

Also special mention to this L.A. Riots remix of Ting Tings That's Not My Name on Penned Madness blog.

Let's Pretend (Pornscar mix) - Alan Hostage on Palmsout blog

A little saturday sweet for you. I was at a friend's house last night and he played this track which I somehow missed on the huge collection of Palmsout remixes every week. Drop this sort of jackin house number with Le Le - Breakfast and you're on it. As always, just a little Der Fresh Creamy and you're ready to dj :)

Punkin' Machine - I Need You Tonight on La Decadanse blog

I have been a long time sucker for the super funky disco track Suzy Q - Get on Up and Do It Again but didn't know that the producer Jerry Cucuzella also did this track by Punkin' Machine. It's super hypnotic after a while. Bonus - the K.I.D. track on here is also excellent.
