Bumblebeez - Rio on Get Weird Turn Pro blog

This new Bumblebeez track is sooooo good. Word is that Boy 8-Bit, Crookers and Buraka Som Sistema are remixing. Can't wait to hear.

Also, this track Robertino track off the Santana Mongoley album is a fantastic vintage african track - it gets that great guitar/rhythm groove going on about half way through. One more great track from the legend that is the Ylow blog.

Sexy Sushi - Sex Appeal used to be on Versus blog

OK - so I missed this track when it came out and it's technically not still on this blog. But if you are an effective researcher like I am, you can still find things by looking on Google's cache, which is where I've linked you to this zshare link. This track has the kind of simple catchy Miss Kittin/Electroclash type of appeal that I am missing in music these days. So I hunted this track down. Soooo good.

But check out the Versus blog for new stuff anyway.

Hong Kong Blood Opera on keytars & violins

I just found this. Keytars did a great post on SXSW festival and most of the tracks are very interesting (lots of 8-bit/chiptune) but this Hong Kong Blood Opera track Killing Joke is REALLY good - kind of a Peaches style basic synth bass mixed in with hardcore rock.
You might also want to check out this great 80's synth pop number from Terrestrial Super Receiver called Moonlight From her Body on the same blog.

Justus Köhncke/Koehncke - Parage on Dilate Choonz

Very few Nu-disco guys can capture the right kind of sound to make it really feel like the old stuff. Justus Koehnke gets it right now and then. Somehow I missed this when it came out a while back, so thanks for the Kevins at Dilate Choonz for reminding me :)
You can listen to a mix he did for Beats in Space (incredible) to download here (or stream).

Timmy Thomas - Why Can't We Live Together? remixed by Peter Visti on Social Disco blog

I had almost forgotten about this track but it used to be one of my favorites when I listened to more disco. It's haunting and beautiful and this remake makes it even more so. Organs and great rnb vocals.

And I hate to say it, but this is really my favorite thing found today, this sort of mid-90s gabba rave mix of Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson on the Digital Eargasm blog. I love it.

Dj Dú Marcel - Speed Total Vol.1 on Kizomba Zouk blog

I know there are enough of you out there that recognize that there are some freaky unusual dance things being done in the portugal/african axis. Buraka Som Sistema for one (playing next week in London) and this random cd I found with some amazing tracks on it. I let you listen to this one below before you download the whole album on the link below. And if you are in London, I am djing this kind of stuff with Radioclit and ISA GT at Notting Hill Arts Club tonight.

Das Pop - Lupoo remix on Trash Menagerie

Not sure who these Buffet Libre characters are but they have put together an EXCELLENT collection of remixes in one shot, almost all of which I was not familiar with. Stand out tracks are the Das Pop remixed by Lupoo and the Night Facilities remix of Go Team. Catchy as hell.

David Rubato mixes Midnight Juggernauts - Shadows on Discobelle.net

I think you can always tell where someone really is musically if they tell you the tracks they really will listen to all the way through, over and over again. For me this is the track right now. the original is great, but that vocoder vocal mixed with the synths and the italo disco groove - I can't stop.

And I like to mix it with this one.

Boys Noize remix Gonzales on I Heart Comix

I'm feeling these big electro bangers less and less, but this is a good one in parts with great warm synth builds - and I have a soft spot for Gonzales - good to see him back.

Van Halen remix on Outside Broadcast blog

I realize this is maybe not as catchy as the standard I'm trying to set on this blog, but I just can't resist a latin remix of Running With the Devil by Van Halen, an essential part of my youfs.

Red Transistor - Not Bite on Mutant Sounds blog

There are a lot of rare and unusual lo-fi early punk/new wave records on this blog post, and most of them are interesting but not really stand out to me. But this one track Not Bite by Red Transistor has that quality that I think Kap Bambino is still producing - kind of a hypnotic wall of sound with shouted vocals that is great. Mutant Sounds blog is legendary anyway but who has time to pick through all the music you don't know?!
