Kid Cudi - Crookers Remix on Pagettemusic blog

I have been djing this Kid Cudi track for some time now and then I found this Crookers remix. Give it a play - at first it's a bit to banging, but then gets banging and catchy.

Sexual Eruption-Boys Noize remix on Asian Dan blog

It's not really my favorite tune of all time, and a bit odd, but I've waited for a long time to hear this and it's such a weird mix of musicians that I had to link it.

Long Blondes remix on Cerulean's Love of Music blog

This is a CLASSIC example of a remix that works late at night in any indie club. And a very good use of new electronic bits. I can't wait to hear any of the new Long Blondes stuff - supposed to be very good thanks in part to Erol. Speaking of Erol, I am playing an opening set for his Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve set this Friday, the 22nd at Fabric Live in London. You can preview the set at this party on Wednesday.

And now and then I forget to go back and check out the amazing Lovefingers blog. Have always had a soft spot for the Tamiko Jones : Can't Live Without Your Love. Very rare dance/jazz/disco number - make sure you listen on headphone and wait for it to sink in - it's a slow burner.

cocosuma/bitchee ya ya on Bibabidi

Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya have the current cool-ness unexplicable. There is something about their mixes which seems kind of fresh. This is a new mix.
And this is almost too much to believe. I found a post where you can download a HUGE collection of old school, rave, hardcore and happy house compilations. I've selected one track I discovered today from the Happy Hardcore 1 [1995] compilation.

Screamers 'I Wanna Hurt' from spanish blog

Screamers track "I Wanna Hurt" has a basal early electric punk sound that would weave into a mix of Warm Leatherette by The Normal like a soup of wires and bolts, if you could drink such a thing. Download the full collection of the Screamer demos on this linked Spanish blog at 192 kbps.

The Screamers Demos 1977-1978

Also for those of you out there constantly trying to find new bands to sign or just new bands that are decent, these folks at the University of California in Davis are finding some good stuff for their radio shows. You can download their shows and track down the tracks. This particular show I've linked is very good - check out the words "Grabba Grabba Tape".

MGMT - Electric Feet from Cause=Time blog

Seems like a lot of American bands are coming out with this slow groovey disco-ish sound, sort of like late 70's Stones singles. Anyway, this MGMT Electric Feet track is electric.

New Vampire Weekend songs

So this is a start of a new blog. The Dalston Oxfam Shop blog is doing great, but it's all focused on weird old stuff from cassettes, etc. As I spend a good bit of my day downloading all kinds of new music, but don't want to join the race to be the first to post new tracks like everyone else, I thought it would do another blog to share my favorite finds of the day - to share the love I find all over this wide world of internets. Sort of as if Hype machine had a "best of" section. Except that's it's my taste, so you either like it or you don't. Try track M79 from Vampire Weekend here.
